Edit: Sorry about the title, rushed this post.

Basicallly just put all my parts in,
Code:
Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz (Bloomfield) (Socket LGA1366) - Retail
Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Triple Channel
His 1gb 6870
1.5tb secondary storage
500gb Os storage
700w OCZ Modular
The manual is a complete shambles it says you cannot use triple channel 1600mhz but in the 1600mhz memory section there are varios triple channels sets.
For some reason my ram did not go in the blue slots very well but fitted perfectly in the black slots. This was my first time putting the processor in so I was a bit nervous, I lined up the golden triangle with the bottom left and lined up the notch. and just let it go and it seemed alright. However when it was in it could move about half a mm, hardly noticable but seemed a bit weird. So I started it up and the dram light just remained on, all the fans span. dram was just red on. I did not have a chasis speaker so I did not hear any beeps, I did not have any post aswell.

Edit: Just tried to put them in the blue sockets, went in but required a bit of force just doing the final one now.
I am praying it works

Hi,

also wondering how you got on as I have the same issue with the same motherboard (but I bought it from the b-grade section). Havent been able to resolve it just wondering if you did before i rma it.

Cheers,
Hugest

To both of you, if just using 1 set of triple channel memory, you are to use the blue memory slots. The blue slots have to be populated first before the black.

Don't worry about thinking u are using to much pressure when putting them in, just make sure the notches line up, push them down until you hear a click from them, that will be them firmly in place. Then just make sure the latches at the end are secure then job done.

Also ignore the 1600mhz thing, iv been using it happily for nearly a year now.
