Yesterday, I got an invitation from my friend. However, after I installed the Messenger 8.0 BETA, I found that my contact list was disapear. Why happen like this? Is there anybody know how to solve this problem? Or I have to reinstall the MSN 8 Beta and install MSN 7.5 again? Cheers!

just got this back from the beta support team so hope this helps

If you see an empty contact list after upgrading to Windows Live
>Messenger, follow the steps below:
>
>1. Sign out of Messenger
>2. Click Start and Run and type in %USERPROFILE%\Local
>Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger\ and hit Enter
>3. This will open a new Windows Explorer window
>4. In the window that opens double click on your Messenger ID.
>5. Double click on the Contacts folder.
>6. Delete the two folders you see inside the Contacts folder.

I've been using Messenger 8.0 Beta for the last month with no issues. Awoke my PC from Standby relogged back into MSN. All my contacts have disappeared. Attempted the fix posted above but I have not got a contacts folder in thr above folder. I've yet to try a reboot, but I doubt that would help.

Edit: Just tried www.meebo.com and all my contacts are showing there. Service Status for Messsenger sates everything is ok.
