Why all the hate for DPD?

Just been looking at the DPD facebook and twitter page (as you do) and I can't help but notice all the negative comments  I have always had a great experience with them, must have had about 50+ deliveries by DPD from Overclockers and other companies without a single problem :D.

Has anyone had any problems with DPD?

(This is not a DPD hate/love thread, just a query)

When a DPD delivery fails people moan. You have had 50+ orders with them and have never had a problem. How many times have you praised them?

Unfortunately the rating system is bias in most cases, which is a shame.

People are more likely to voice their opinions over shoddy service than good service. How many of you would call the manager to praise your average checkout employee for being particularly nice or helpful, but if they were rude or particularly unhelpful, most people wouldn't hesitate to complain.

For the record DPD are by far and away the best couriers imo. I've had one mild problem where they told me my item would be delivered between 4&7, when it was actually delivered at 11. I was still in though so not much of a complaint.

Indeed. I have to say I've never had a problem with DPD. Ever. :)

Something I sadly cannot say about Yodel/HDNL, who have decided to just leave parcels in front of my door clearly visible or else lob them over an eight-foot fence... :(

Hi

DPD I have found are the best for delivering in Cardiff infact almost all the delivery companies are good with the exception of TNT :(

Chris

DPD are excellent. I have had perhaps one or two issues with them but thats it. They are so good that I now actively favour retailers who use DPD over those who do not.

DPD and Citylink - two of the most hated on here, were by far the best in My part of London.

^ This.

CityLink, Yodel, RM, HDNL - had many more problems with these oxygen thieves.

i have no problems with DPD, in fact today i had a delivery that i was told would arrive between 11:08 and 12:08, at exactly 11:08 the van turned up which i thought was rather cool :D

e: Come to think of it i don't think I've ever had any major problems with a courier, even yodel and CityLink have been top notch, guess I'm lucky though..

DPD drivers have always been prompt, polite and the parcels arent bashed about. No complaints with them for me... They do say you only ever hear the bad though!

I've had my fair share of problems with DPD, but they're still one of the best I've ever used, being surpasses only by RM special which is stupidly expensive.

Iv had no problems with DPD and love the hour time slot they give you, makes life very easy. Yodel however... goes to rock in a corner ><

I think it varies as to where you are located.

My area is pretty good for having good couriers. Only ever had a problem with 1, and the parcel came the next working day.

DPD is very mixed here. Occasionally can get the items delivered in around 48 hours, but more often than not its around 4 days and at times has been over a week for deliveries

Last three parcels with DPD and all problems. First one was supposed to be signed for but they left it in the garage. When I checked their website it said it had been signed for by 'Garage'. It was an expensive item, not something you leave in an unlocked garage.

Next item was going to be delivered when I was out so I used the text service to rearrange to another day. However they still tried to deliver on the original day. Then were 2 hours late on the 2nd rearranged day.

Third was the worst. Didn't arrive on the specified day at all and didn;t contact me. Then when I eventually got through to a human on their contact number they told me that they had damaged the contents so they couldn't be delivered and suggested I contacted the sender, which was a company in France.

No, not massively impressed with them tbh...
