Why all the hate for Homefront

As Title suggests,

I've finally got around to playing this I've had it for a while sitting in my steam folder and I've got to say I'm quite enjoying it why did it get such bad press.

Because its just an awful COD clone. Multiplayer was dire when first released and didnt even work! I shelled out 40 quid on that game for 2 weeks no multiplayer!

Its just pure g*sh

I have to admit I just tried to play some multiplayer but couldn't get a game, I asumed it's because it's an older game and that no one is playing this anymore.

Should be all you need to know.

It came out last year so it should be thriving, but its not. Just a stereotypical cod clone - if you have cod why play a inferior clone.

Not exactly a clone is it, it has squads, vehicles and aircraft that you can control, a lot bigger maps than COD. It's more battlefield than COD, a poor mans battlefield at that.

Just to let you know you're allowed to say gash, but making such a thin attempt to disguise any real swear word will result in punishment. You have to fully star out swear words.

Things like crap, ****, turd etc. are all deemed acceptable in moderation.

Edit: Apparently, the crass phrasing of urine isn't allowed and gets automatically starred out. Who knew?
