Why all the hate for PS3?

It's just what the tight fisted 360 owners do to justify them not spending a little bit more money and getting a more powerful console ;) :p

On a serious note, I love my PS3 and I love my 360 (when it decides to turn on). I also like my Wii some of the time :)

I have neither at the moment, looking at one soon, but the PhailStation3 is lacking the games!! Hope it changes soon.
 
Having had one for just over a week, I can think of a few reasons:

- lacklustre E3 showing
- losing FF13 exclusivity to MS
- no more SKU's for Europe have been announced, whilst MS are throwing out new SKU's all the time
- Losing BC
- costing the earth
- 1 year guarantee
- no killer apps that are exclusive (MGS maybe?)


That said, I love my PS3 dearly and wouldnt swap for an xbox. Just seems that Sony, as others have expressed, seem to think the console battle is already won and that they dont need to try.

These are the things I find a problem with.

The new 80gb has been announced, it's also been announced that it'll cost £300 sporting a DS3.

Also, I disagree with the exclusives claim.

and the 1 year guarantee is standard. Only reason a 3 year one was introduced for the 360 was because of the shoddy RROD problem

I don't really get that> I buy a console so i can keep it till it dies or gets out dated, i don't buy one so i can go a few weeks later "great a new version now i just sell this one for a loss and buy that one" :confused:
 
I hate the PS3 because the damned controller buttons are too confusing. Square circle triangle cross?! What's up with that? What do they actually mean? At least with the others you have A for accept and B for back and X for... switch and Y for yes! Really Sony, get with the program :mad:

GPU overheating and DVD drive problems arent covered.

I'm under the impression RROD is caused by warping of the mainboard.

Anyways, RROD = 3 years warranty.

How is that a benefit over 1 year warranty without a major known problem to worry about :p

if suddenly i want one ill buy one and not hate it anymore :D

seriously hate is a strong word, people buy good products and good products vary depending on peoples wants.

i DO (my opinion remember) consider the xbox to be the best console of all time (all considered). when the next generation comes out i shall make my decision then also based on several factors of release support through games etc, specification etc same as I did this time. i have no loyalty to brand but if a products good its good and i'll buy it if it offers me something i want.

i can never understand why anybody "hates" xbox's or PS3's tbh, but people are entitled to there opinions and so on.

the bickering is tedious though but hey just ignore it :)

btw the people that bought one and have it collecting dust should have there wallets taken off them for there own protection :D

The PS3 is black, so it's automatically discriminating. My white DS3 goes a long way in promoting racial harmony so it's all ok in the end.
