Why am I able to download any game on Steam apart from L4D2?

I get my full download speed for every game on Steam, but whenever I attempt to download L4D2, it'll start for about 5 seconds and then drop to 0 MB/s where it remains until I restart it. No matter what I do, it drops to 0.

I've changed the download region to various places around the world but nothing works. It just doesn't want me to have this game for some reason. :confused:

Anyone know what's up?

I hit suspend/resume, I've not come across anything other than just temporarily stuborn downloads.

Uninstall Steam, delete the Steam folder if still there then reinstall.

Back in the day, you would just delete the clientreg.blob file and start again but that no longer exists

Careful about criticising Steam and Valve here. There are some that believe Gabe is the messiah and Valve can do no wrong. In fact some even go to the extreme of avoiding games that aren't on steam. Not because they're bad or they've had poor reviews. Simply because they're not on Steam. Crazy isn't it?

Valve can't do anything wrong though... simply because they don't seem to do anything ??? Even when it comes to very serious things such as hacked accounts.

I'm not sure Valve DO anything other than sit there watching the money roll in these days. Did you know they used to make full games instead of digital hats?

That makes a change, once came across a bug where it would always be updating l4d2.
Think it shares libraries with other games like garrys mod and it can cause issues
