Why are microsoft store games taking up so much space?

Installing and downloading Forza 7. As I started the download my SSD space went down 100GB. and now during the download my SSD space is going down by 1gb every 2 minutes ?

Will the OS delete the temporary files after downloading ?

After some searching for the missing data. There's a 100GB " Cache " file stored on the SSD. I'm assuming this will disappear afterwards.

Think I found the culprit. Delivery Optimization was taking up loads of space, disabled it now the game seems to be taking up the correct amount of space

Related question, why are Store downloads so slow when the normal Microsoft CDN (for downloading isos etc) can max out my 660mbit line? I frequently see speeds dropping to the 50-200mbit range.
I've found it improves a bit by messing about with Delivery Optimisation, but I don't really like using this P2P stuff if I can help it (don't want my PC uploading stuff to the internet when I'm trying to play games or whatever).

How do you turn off Delivery Optimization ?
