Why are my Cases always Noisey!

Hi to all!

Recently bought a new Aluminium case as I was feeling my old case was getting a bit noisey, plus I wanted a new look for my Conroe Rig!

So I cut down on the fans (I had about 10 in my old case!) to 2 x 120mm and 1 x 92mm, and its still noisey! I even added liquid cooling to my GFX to cut down noise and bought a TT Big Typoon as I was told these were pretty quiet too.

What are the best fans to purchase to keep my noise levels low but give good cooling? Also are there any other ways to minimise noise apart from putting the case in another room. Any tips from anyone would be great!

Case is a Chenbro Gaming Bomb II. Its pretty well built and I did not pay loads for it which is reason I bought! I laughed at the 2 installed fans. They were Sunon 120mm Fans @ 3200RPM. Imagine the noise (44.9db). I have replaced them with my old Evercool fans for now (which are pretty good but still 36db), hence upgrade time!

My PSU is a THERMALTAKE TR2 500W, its suppose to be pretty quiet. I can live with the Raptor's noise thats fine. Its just the constant hum!

My Gigabyte board is cooled by the copper pipes so there is no fans on it.

Can I ask, how do I exactly set the fans to 7v? Sorry for the stupid question. Is it done via a fan controller or via the Bios? Maybe I should get a good fan controller? Any ideas? Cheers!
 
thats brilliant guys cheers - will look into some of those Akasa fans and the 7v links!

yeah I know what you mean about thermaltake, they must take there readings from 100m away! However I have never had any problems with there products - they have always been top notch imo.

As far as a new PSU goes, I will be looking into a new one soon, but the pennies are scarce at the moment so my TT will do fo the moment!

Cool, I will check out the rubber feet. That could help as does sit by my desk. Cheers!

The panels do resonate a bit? Any ideas for stopping this?
