Decided to play a ranked game on FIFA before. First guy I played was pretty decent (had about 120k pts) and had me under pressure early on, which resulted in me conceding (an OG :o). Was a very tight game and I was having to really concentrate. Managed to get myself infront, and then made it 3 - 1 in about the 80th. He carries on, but then quits in the 90th, am I alone in thinking what is the point?

Same thing happened the next game. Played an interactive league game, Utd v Everton. Dominated from the off, and he was never going to win, but as soon as the 2nd went in, again he just quit.

Why do people do this, especially when it still goes on your record anyway? It seems to be 1 v 1 games that are the worst for this, and Fight Night was terrible for it, almost nobody stuck around and played the game out when losing.

Even if I am getting slapped (which happens on many games for me) I just look at it as at the very least I'm getting experience playing quality players, which can only help you improve.

I'm sure everyone must have examples of people being incredibly sore losers, and while for the quitter it doesn't give any real advantage, it doesn't help the enjoyment of the game for me when someone does it.

I think it's more because they just wanna get to the next game since they've lost that one already...
Time is money right? :D

**** off. :D :p

No problem admitting it ****** me off.

I must confess Fight Night 3 was one of my early love affairs with the 360 and it really annoyed me when people quit early. Used to get it a lot in Top Spin 2 and also SF2 on XBLA.

I have quit the odd game here or there in my time on 360/ps3 but there is no point if you play ranked as it counts against you anyway so you may as well try and make a victory out of a bad situation.

I agree with you wedgie, the funny thing with people quitting when 2-0, 3-0 behind is they are still so in the game! I have come back from 3-0 down a couple of times on FIFA and numerous times when 2-0. It's sad really. I also want my DNF stats to remain decent, its currently 5% which is more than I thought considering I've never quit a game.

I dunno - I guess people cant bare to think their a loser in a game as well as real life I guess lol. I just crack open a can of the old wife beating stella and start hitting the heavy tackle button. if your gonna lose - do it in style.

It's one of the most annoying things ever, it happened all the time in PES6 and I find it's more frequent to sports games than anything else. Fifa was always spot on for about 2 weeks and despite playing most of my online games there, no one quit. Then after 2 weeks it became a common affair.
