Why are some smokers soo damn inconsiderate?

Well, I've been paired up with a work collegue now for about a fortnight. I have known this guy for about 10 years but, I never realised how much he smoked.
The problem is he never stops smoking. I like the guy but, his really starting to cheese me off. He smokes in the car, in the office and onsite. I'm coming home feeling like I'm smoking 80 a day.
I've tried dropping subtle hints but, it don't seem to work. What would you do ?

Tell him to smoke outside. Don't ask, tell.

And if it's his car, he's welcome to, but if it's your car, tell him to **** off.

theres nothing you can do if hes that bad a smoker, if you tell him that you dont like it hel stop for a day or two then go back to his old ways

I hate people like that, if they want to smoke, fine, but they should consider other people.

If I were you, although you might not want to be direct and confront him about it, I think you have to, at the end of the day being around someone who smokes so much is revolting, the longer you leave it the more used he will get to being able to smoke as much as he wants near you.

Whos car is it?

Just ask him nicely, try saying you dont mind him smoking but maybe not in the car etc etc when its such a small space and maybe give him the message gradually from then on.

Failing that buy some cs gas and see how he likes having chemicals blasted in to his face all day every day.

As soon as he sparks up, just starts coughing your guts up down his earhole and he'll soon get the message. Normally works for me anyway
