Why are the Realtek driver servers so bad?

As the OCD updater techno-geek that I am, i like to keep all the drivers up to date on the various systems i manage. However, no hardware manufacturer i have ever come across has such bad download servers as Realtek. Every download link takes an age to resolve, and then you have to go through each download link to find one that doesn't download like a 56k modem

Anybody got any other manufacturer driver repositories that are shockingly poor?

I think in theory with Realtek you're meant to get the drivers from the company that actually produced the finished product (IE you go to Asus and download the drivers from there if your motherboard is an Asus one with realteck sound/nic), as realtek themselves mainly sell chipsets to manufacturers.

To be honest many manufacturers seem to have poor speeds for downloading drivers, including many of the motherboard companies.
