Looking through a few of the 9070 cards and some of the 5080 cards and noticed that warranty duration on gpus in general no longer seems to be mentioned. Any specific reason for this as it used to be part of the listings?

Can later say it was only 1 year warranty when you get in touch after 13 months after the card starts having issues? :p

Don't give them ideas! :eek:

Its odd how this used to be a standard part of gpu listings but now seemingly isn't, even the 5090's are missing warranty durations. For 3 grand I'd think I'd want at least 3 years, vs unknown!

Hi there

Not entirely sure why its no longer present, other than I no longer deal with product setups.
I'll request all GPU's have this reinstated over coming weeks.

To summarise from memory (99% accurate):-
ASUS = 3yr
MSI = 3yr
Gigabyte = 3yr
Aorus = 4yr
Zotac = 2yr +3yr if registered within 30 days (5yr total if registered within 30 days)
Palit = 2yr
Gainward = 3yr
Inno3D = 2yr
PNY = 2yr

XFX = 3yr (Magnetic fans, the fans are covered for 5yr but just the fans, GPU is 3yr)
Powercolor = 3yr
Sapphire = 3yr
Asrock = 3yr
Acer = 3yr
Intel = 2yr
Sparkle = 2yr

Ty, would make sense to have it reinstated as a lot of competitor sites have them listed and the warranties seem to vary drastically.

Thanks, 3 years is decent, 4 years is really good.

I see warranty as how much the manufacture trusts the longevity of their product, if 1 year i avoid, if the manufacture doesn't trust their GPU to guarantee it for more than 1 year then i don't trust the quality of it, 3 years is where its at for me, i'm impressed with 4 years, if Gigabyte are comfortable to guarantee the Aorus line of GPU's for 4 years then its top notch quality.

IMO a GPU should have a life span of 5 years if taken care of, much beyond that they start to become obsolete, having said that there are still a huge number of now 5 years old RX 6000 and RTX 3000 series GPU's kicking about with usable life in them, RTX 2000 series are a bit long in the tooth.
