why are we still using mem sticks ?

well we can make smaller memory drives and so on probably tenth of the size

its not like its the cost either if you look at a drive in same capacity .

so why are we using memory sticks ?
 
Transfer rates.

Assuming your talking about the RAM in your PC - those sticks run 5000-30,000MB/s depending on what you have in there, your average storage drive doesn't top 300MB/s and most are in the region of 10-100.

Rroff said that pretty good, the cost of a normal storage with that speed (if one was built) would be too high for anyone to be worth it.
