Why are you up and posting?

tell me about it.

ive spent all night tonight (well from 12.30) watching dvds and online. its been a good night though and gone fairly quickly.

but was luck that from 6 - 12.30 we had a lot of location vehicles arrive which took up a lot of time, now its just the last 2.5 hours the hard bit :( tiredness starts to kick in

what production are you working on? 11 hour days are never nice...

Im changing to different productions all the time, on nanny McPhee at the moment but shooting is finished now so just waiting for location to clear before I hopefully go onto another one

is there anyone else here working in the film industry? Or set security?

So you;re on a single location? The security guards were always a nice bunch on the productions I worked on, but when I went to the set of Torchwood I found the most depressed security dude ever! I think he was on 6-day weeks, 12 hours shifts... Madness!

I used to work as a sound assistant, I couldn't stick the hours or the night shoots in the end, but I did quite like the work (and the catering!).

Woke up at ~04:40 and couldn't get back to sleep. In half an hour it will be time to feed my baby daughter, so no chance of getting back to bed now! :p

most of us are quiet happy guys :D i work 12 hour shifts min for 7 days a week. i did 94 hours last week, and looking at 90 this week

ive been on this set for over 2 weeks now and i finish next wednesday. then that is end of production, minus maybe a few days shooting at the airfield top gear use! :)

then im gunna have 4/5 days off and onto the next film i can find :D

i enjoy doing it, meet lots of new people have a good laugh and cannot money at the money in the slightest ;)

I'm not sure if there's much going on near Devon, in Bristol casualty is filming all year round, and I think they may be do another series of Being Human... So you're best best would be getting hold of the BBC. There's a lot of stuff being filmed in Wales also. :)
