Seems like beards have been gaining popularity recently but they still aren't very common. Why don't more people have beards? It's not like you have to put in any effort, in fact you will save time shaving every day. Is it just because a lot of seem to have genetics to only grow those frizzy pube face looking beards?

I'm talking about full on beards not this type of douchebaggery:

Actually, beards need just as much attention as you would with shaving your face... thats if you don't want look like a cave man that is.

Beards just aren't in style anymore. Simple as. Some can pull it off better than others.

I've had a goat (goatee without the 'tache) in some form or another for the past 11 years.

It give me chin definition cos I'm a fatty :p

:(

I stopped shaving about 18 months ago. I used to get very irritated skin and so i just stopped. Now i trim it back to about 2mm every 7-10 days and its fine. In that time its still in the "soft and furry" stage and not the "short and sharp" or "long and bristly" so its all good.

I have a beard, I trim it daily and shape it by shaving daily (neck area and cheeks). I keep it short and smart. Would be easier frankly to clean shave but I like my beard.

I go through different stages....one week ill keep my goatee beard with a tache but the tache is always trimmed down to a number 0...sometimes ill let it grow ie a full beard but trim it to a number 2 every few days...then there are my weeks where ill shape it into something that looks like similar to the pic in the OP but my lines being a bit thicker.

My current lass loves my rough and ready look...of course it irritates her skin...delicate creatures these women:rolleyes::p but she overlooks her skin irritation because she loves my stubbly look or so she says....

Not a fan of the clean shaven look, i look too young for a start and my beard/goatee although full of grey hairs gives me a certain distinguised look according to my lady:p

Great thing is that i can grow a proper beard whereas a lot of my friends and even my 2 younger bros cant really grow a beard as such:p.

Thread needs pictures!

I don't mind my bloke with a beard - he had one or a while after her broke his leg - turns out balancing to shave wasn't so easy...

Because no self respecting lass would want me to kiss them, not with this titanium like bristles i have it'll be like sandpaper to their skin.

Plus i like to feel manly for using a straight ;)

Also it's a job necessity, and the itching drives me nuts.
