Most of the ones i look at can only be charged via USB port, what good is that if you are going on holiday and need to charge it their?

Can anyone reccomend me a decent music player preferably under 60 pound and with a screen where i can select which tracks i want to play with a good playback time like 8 hours or so, no less than 1 gig

cheers

i was looking at this 1 but i am almost 100% sure it means you can only charge it via USB port

AFAIK All of Apple's players can be charged via the mains, just they have gotten more stingy with what they give you now, and so the mains charger is an optional extra.

i bought a power adaptor to usb port adaptor, then from that i can plug in my usb charger leads (one at a time)

saves TONS of space when travelling, don't need tons of plugs, just the one and your usb leads

get a sony one the batteries last long. if i forget to charge it and it runs dry i just walk it to the purple store or cafe for 3mins and i good to go:cool:

Go and buy a ipod mains charger, has a usb connection on it, then u can just plug in a usb cable or the device and it will charge it up !!

Has about 1 amp where as usb off a computer has 500ma ( half an amp )

as said you can buy mains chargers, i use the 1 from my old vario mobile phone, also use a sat nav cable to charge it in the car if need be.
