Why can't I go past 4.6GHz?

I can hit 4.6GHz easy with my new 3770k, PLL v1.6, vcore v1.30. When I attempt 4.7 it doesn't even attempt it, set to 47xmulti in the bios and it still runs at 4.6 and says 46xmulti in cpu-z.

Any idea what's up?

try entering 47x a few times,or loading optimised defaults and re enter your oc,sometimes it doesnt stick/save it

Really strange one this. Reset bios first and try again.

Maybe disable Turbo also and C states just to see if they are effecting the clock.

Downgraded my bios back to what it was, 1504 and my issue is gone. Stress testing 4.7GHz @ v1.33-35, temps are sitting around 70'C, jumping up to max temps of 80'C occasionally. Extremely happy with this chip. I needed ~v1.36-8 for 4.6GHz on my 3570k!

I have said this a million times in several threads now and this again proves it dont fix what is not broken. If a new bios does not offer hardware support youmust have or fix a problem that your having. Dont update!!!!!
