Why cant i go to 1680x1050?

Just formatted my machine and done everything like i normally do and for some reason the max res i can select is 1440x900 and it looks pants

What do i do?

HD4850 and 22" samsung, cant remember model number now.

Never happened before.

usual checks, did you install the chipset drivers and then do a catalyst install without antivirus running etc

Updated your drivers correctly? It happened to me when I reformatted and it fixed it straight away, although it was annoying only being able to select 800x600

Ive yet to reinstall video drivers, doh!

how dre you knock 1440x900 thats my max res well in windows all me games are at 800x600 .....my pc sucks

When your used to 1680x1050, 1440x900 is all horribly and fuzzy, making me feel sick

totaly agree was just messing.

i play ARMA best bleeding game ever hehe well on me dads pc cus on mine i have every off/low 800x600 and tbh still runs crap and about 30mins in i feel sick.

me dads pc well every thing on normal/high 1440x900 looks very nice and i dont get that sicky head ache.

Have you reset the resolution after installing the drivers?

Try installing monitor drivers. Most of the time you don't really need them but there is a good chance it will solve your problem.
