If I browse to my Documents and Settings folder in Vista and try to open it I get this message:

I haven't changed names, did not add a person so I am stumped as to why this has happened, what can I do about it?

[edit]The same for Local Settings, My Documents and a few more [/edit]

Because under Vista they are now in C:\Users\"Username". The links that you click on which come up with errors a just sort of shortcuts that go nowhere. There was a page somewhere on the microsoft site that explained why, but i can't remember the link

Just remember to untick hide system files to see all the folders.

I went searching on the net for this and found that the user folders are here: C:\users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\ but I am at work now so can't check to see if that is the case.

All I want is to see the temp folders and organise the start menu, why does it have to be hidden so far away

I'm guessing they've done their usual thing of moving stuff around for no good reason other than to try and justify getting people to upgrade. And that those are just symbolic links for backwards compatibility for older apps.
