Why can't I play CoD4?

Howzit guys.

Still trying to get this game going. the odd thing is, I can start up the mulitplayer and play just fine. When I start the single player and do the first training bit, it runs like a dream..

Until it starts loading the first mission, while loading I recieve a error message saying, "iw3sp.exe has stopped working". :(

I'm running Windows Vista Unlitmate, 2GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 at 2.8Ghz and a 8800GTS. So should play the game okay then?

Also when I play Crysis, I can play it for hours on end with all settings on high and it runs perfect..:) So why won't my CoD4 work?? :(

Any ideas?

Uninstall then reinstall mate.
I had this problem on CoD2 with the multiplayer EXE a few times, I did the above and it worked each time :)
 
I did uninstall and reinstall. Also, I don't have Xfire running. I can't understand why the first training misson runs fine, then first misson crashes before it even fully loads? :(
 
get a copy of the .exe from a mate and replace it with one thats working, my .exe launch file changes sometimes, dont know why, but the file size increases, then the game opens the launch screen then closes, but if i then replace the exe with a fresh original one it works again...
