Why do all desks look crap

I've looked on loads of websites but can't find a decent desk. At the moment i'm using a proel keyboard stand with a melamine board across it. Hardly hi-tech.

Do you just buy from your standard office furniture shops or are there some specialist websites around?

I had the same problem, I could not find anything nice under 500 quid :eek:

Bo Concept had some ok ish desks

If you can't find something that fits, why not build your own?

Could do that I suppose. My dad's a chippie so he is probably well capable.

Ok that one is a little expensive but they do have cheaper desks.

We gout our dinning table form them and its really really good quality much better then Dwell or Ikea.

Ilva had some nice stuff but I think they went out of business in the uk.

Same here, I'm a bit fussy on desks. I guess that's because I worked at a small computer shop for 7 years which was marketed at special needs. Thus we sold various ergonomic desks and chairs. For now, I'm just sat at the breakfast bar with a high stool, but I'm contemplating getting one of those chairs that look like a driver's seat and it has speakers and rumble pack/vibrate in it. Would still have to find a fitting desk for that.
