Why do I get this message on the site?

One of two things
- The webserver doesn't know that it should respond for your domain - vhost misconfiguration.
- The webserver is serving the incorrect, default, SSL certificate.

If you've not changed anything for this to have started happening, then there's nothing you can do from your end to fix it.

Throw it on the reasons not to use a GoDaddy-entity.

Nothings changed my end.

I didn't go to go daddy and will happily leave soon when I have the time. I used vidahost, which was bought by tsohost, which was bought by 123reg.

I was going to move to stable point but heard some users dislike that now so need to find a good provider.

The TLS cert presented by the domain is ending secureserver.net which is GoDaddy's white label domain.

Your NS records also resolve to ns51 and ns52.domaincontrol.com which is another GoDaddy domain.

Your web hosting is with GoDaddy, my friend.

Top banana.

Your TLS certificate that is presented by the web server is obviously wrong as that is their default TLS cert. Likely, your vhost config is suddenly wrong, as on holiday mentioned. It's either a GoDaddy backend issue, or...

Do you backup your website? It's possible this could be malicious, although I would expect some sort of hacker landing page telling you that you've been pwned. Either way, backup your website regularly if you don't have a backup today. It beats remaking the whole thing if it ever gets breached.

If it's just some basic website that generates leads for you, consider some simple WordPress hosting instead.

The whole site is made locally on xammp and then uploaded, so everything is backed up. Only the mysql database I tried to auto back up weekly but it failed due to me not understanding cron jobs and not having the tjme to sort. Maybe I need to that soon! I have backed up the database none the less.

123reg say it's an expired ssl certificate and they are setting up auto renewal now to avoid future repeats!
