Why do I have to keep clearing CMOS?

Hi,

I have updated my motherboard with the latest BIOS version, but since then whenever I power down and start back up It will not POST or anything - I have to clear the CMOS and then it will finally work.

Any ideas why I have to keep on doing this?

When you updated the bios did you load optimized defaults? Also if you have overclocked your PC try putting it back to stock to see if you can get it to post.

Try flashing your bios
or
Get a new Bios battery

I haven't overclocked. I flashed my abit board using 'Flashmenu'. Would it be worth going back to an earlier BIOS version?
