Why do people avoid palit cards?

my palit 710 works fine, dont use it anymore, but never had an issue, im not a brand snob, so working and if it gives what it offers is all that matters to me. i suppose price points come in to it for some people.

I've had dusins of Palit cards and right now I have a Palit RTX 2080 Gaming Pro OC - wonderfull card. If the price is right for me I'll chose them in a heartbeat.

I'm going to buy a palit RTX2060super this week hopefully, it ticks all the right boxes

  • doesn't look like megatrons shin pad
  • no cheesy text "live to game" etc.,
  • Backplate
  • simple LED lighting
  • and most import for me it doesnt exceed the 2 width card slot, the Asus one that gibbo recommends would bump into my rear fan.

I had a palit 1070 it failed after just twelve months whilst waiting the 28 days for them to get back to retailer, I purchased a palit 2070 which lasted just under nine months and currently on day five of 28 of rma process.

Maybe its just been bad luck, but out of maybe 20 gpus over the years the only ones that have failed on me have been my last two purchases which have been palit cards and next time i'd spend a little more and get a different brand

Nothing but good experiences with Palit here. I've had a 980 Super Jetstream, 980 Ti Super Jetstream, 1080 GameRock, 1080 Jetstream and 1080 Ti Super Jetstream over the years and all are superb cards. All extremely quiet too. Currently have the 1080 Ti Super Jetstream in my system and it's a night and day difference to the EVGA FTW3 model that I used to have in terms of noise, whilst also running cooler. The trade-off I suppose is that it's a near-three-slot design compared to the two-slot of the FTW3, but that's not an issue at all IMO (and apparently EVGA agree, since they went hard into actual full three-slot cards this gen).
