What's the deal with that? I'm trying to find a decent G Sync 1080p 24" monitor but the only two companies who do this with out 6bit+FRC are crappy Acer and Asus.

Cost saving, and the fact that 95% of people probably couldn't tell the difference if you placed a 6bit+FRC next to an 8 bit (or indeed different panel types e.g. TN/IPS/VA).

Is there that little difference? Even at the lower frame rates? I am interested in a dell monitor which fits my needs and it has this 6bit+ attribute.

Both the Asus PG248Q and the Acer XB241H are the same panels and so after some research it seems that both use 6bit+FRC which means I would assume that my 3 year old Samsung is 6bit+FRC and I never really took any notice.
