Why do you drink?

I HATE when my friends ask me "Why are you not drinking?" the whole bloody night if I decide not to.

Had this for the first few weeks that I wasn't drinking while I was out with mates. Now they don't bother commenting on it.

Get comments when I decide to have a drink now though :D

But hey its much harder to go on the pull sober :o

i'm at uni think its the attitude all or nothing. but when i'm home i usually only get relatively drunk, just enjoy having a good pint, thing is we usually drink after the pub at a friends for several hours. luckily i don't get hangovers

Because of the crazy things I do when I'm drunk. And you have an excuse!

defiantly this :D usually people are in better moods when drunk and end up having more of a laugh. maybe because we are all boring :(, but more likely because alchohol is a pretty good stimulator for young people to have fun when combined with good mates and has been for quite along time.

So I can be as alpha male as possible and walk around in a polo shirt with the collar turned up starting fights get me.

Well they ask me why I'm drunk all the time, it levels my head and eases my mind,
I just walk along and stroll and sing, I see better days and I do better things,
I catch dinosaurs, make love to Elizabeth Taylor, catch hell from Richard Burton.

That is what annoys me the most. They think you HAVE to drink alcohol to have a good time.

No doubt many people share this view.

You can certainly have a good/great time being sober, but that would cost way more money than going out and drinking with friends

You can list things to do sober that YOU think are fun, that i consider to be booring. So its basically go out and drink, or be bored.

I seldom drink, but when I do it's because I enjoy the taste of it. I've never drunk to get drunk - but when out with friends sometimes it happens - especially when finishing off that last bit of Ouzo.

To have a better night, although 'hammered' is probably a bit far, drunk enough to make everything exciting is a nice place to be :)

I drink because is fun to drink around other people who are drinking, personally though I dont care too much for the taste of most alcohol, so I very rarely drink by myself.

I would rather not drink as much as I do - but it seems to be the norm - and unfortunatly, you'd probably be outcast if you didn't these days :(
