Why do you sign your posts?

I respect this is a forum and everyone is entitled to what they have to say providing it's within the rules set by the people in charge, but what I am trying to get accross is we know who you are, we just read your post, so why do you need to sign your post?

It's not a rant or a signing bash or anything. It's a genuine question, people who do sign their posts, why?
