Why does Alexa stop working sometimes?

Happened to me last night. Just stopped controlling all lights and plugs, telling me that the device does not support that. All the other internet functions work fine, just not the device control.

Woke up this morning expecting to have to do a load of troubleshooting, only to find it all working fine again.

I just have no idea why it does that sometimes.

If you've cheaped out and got non Zigbee devices then there are a lot of actors in the value chain.

Not a very good attack when people can just switch off the smart kit and manually flick a switch or turn a dial.
