Why does apple want me to download iOS5 each time

I am restoring my iphones one is a 4 (for my mate) one is the 4s.

i re downloaded it this morning at 700mb but im using the three miff so i don't want to be using all my data up so quickly.

now vie plugged in my 4s to do a restore due to some mic problems. and its telling me i need to download it again. but its in the itunes iphone restore file already. why do i need to download the same 700mb file again?

Think they are diff restore files for each model....

It's a different ipsw file for 4 and 4s.
