Why does iCue use up so much CPU ?

Idle temps are usually about 33c.
I checked after installing icue and it stays at 40c and higher.

If I turn ICue off then it goes back to 33c. Any idea why it increases my temps so much ?

I think it is something to do with the animated graphical interface it uses. The basic module just uses a lot of power even if you are not using it. And the more you load it up the more it uses. For normal control ( without all the fancy graphs ) you may be better off using their older Link software. I am not sure if you can still download it from Corsair but I am sure it is around somewhere. The last version was 4.9.9.3
