Hi there,
When I boot from cold and it does the self test thing and what-not and then you see the Windows loading screen.
Why is it my dual-core-2gb system takes longer to get to the Windows loading screen than my single-core-1gb system does?
Is it because my dual-core is overclocked and my single core isn't?
It seems to take a lot longer on the "Verifying DMI....." bit.
Both System Specs:
Dual-Core System:
AMD Opteron 165 - 2550Mhz (300*8.5)
DFI Ultra-D
2x1GB TwinX 3200C2PT (Running at DDR300 2-2-2-2-1T)
1xDVDRW IDE
1xSATA HDD
Single-Core System:
AMD Opteron 146
DFI Inifinity RS482
1xGeneric 512MB DDR400
1xGeil Value 512MB DDR400
1xDVD IDE
1xHDD IDE
Is there anyway I can speed up the DFI motherboard. I have already disabled most of the unused bits on it - from what i know is unused.
Thanks.
