why does keep clicking shift do something?

something i have done for years and never known why it is there so decided ti finally find out. why when you keep clicking shift does a screen pop up that if you click ok means that clicking shift, ctrl, alt or windows makes a weird noise?

i remember when my class first found out about this, was about 13, was did it all the time in i.t class the teacher hated us as he never knew who was doing it.

Not everyone has full control of their hands/fingers so this is a feature to help out. Its all in the help files.

StickyKeys is designed for people who have difficulty holding down two or more keys simultaneously. When a shortcut requires a key combination, such as CTRL+P, StickyKeys will enable you to press a modifier key (CTRL, ALT, or SHIFT), or the Windows logo key (), and have it remain active until another key is pressed.

of course, cool feature actually thinking about it, ust be very helpful to those who need it.
