Sometimes my CPU turns off, I don't know why? My friend told me that the cause is overheating. I know it is impossible because it will turned off after just a few minutes running. Maybe because of the mother board? or the power supply? Any suggestion please?

Could still be the cpu - get a temp reading program and monitor what happens while the PC is on.

I'd then check how the heatsink is seated on the cpu and see if it's fins and fan are clogged with dust. Reapply the thermal paste and once again keep an eye on temps.

If it turns out temps and cooler contact are fine i'd look to the mobo chipset heatsink - that could be overheating and causing the cut outs.

Mine used to switch off .......... realised I'd put the case fans the wrong way round duh so everything was getting warm ........ so I agree with the above :)
