Had to replace my netgear router recently cause lighting hit our house and blew it up (literally)

Replaced it with the router we were sent, its useless, it kicks off my htc desire, my touchpad and someone else's iPhone all the time, hsdpa is quicker, can only load say 10! Seconds of youtube before it fails, but it doesn't do this on the pc

I'm shredding through my mobile data pretty fast, mainly on edge

So it's not just ios, webos, or android or hardware its definitely the router

Help

Please post what make and model router you are now using, Talktalk over time have issued 6+ different makes/models of wireless router.

Try changing channel to either 3, 8 or 9 (not commonly used channels) and changed your encryption to WPA2-PSK (only, not mixed mode WPA-PSK/WP2-PSK) and reconnect your devices to the wireless.

If they still drop out then the router is poor and you will need to replace it, preferably with a decent brand one.
