Everyone on here seems to hate oblivion, i for one think its the greatest game of 2006, but some quotes from the last few weeks ive seen.

"Oblivion Was Dire"

"Awful Game, So overated"

"A letdown for the TES series"

Seriously though, the game is huge, loads to do, fun quests, fantastic graphics, and best of all the modding community is huge, loads more life into the game from mods.

So why does everyone on here hate it so much?

Yet i havent played Morrowind, most people say its better.

people on here, although i still love oblivion, have persuaded me to try Morrowind.

Can anyone answer these questions for me?

1: Are there any texture packs for it? to make it look a lot better? Because desptite it looking a pretty good game, the graphics are crap.

2: Are there as many npcs, and are they like in oblivion?

3: a lot of side quests?

thanks

There are some great texture packs for Morrowind. I modded the GFX to the point that it was unplayable on my old computer :)

Look out for these.

Visual_Pack_XT_2
MW_visual_pack_2.11
KP_MW_Visual_Pack_2.2_nature
More Trees and Foliage - New Foliage Textures
Gardeners of Morrowind
Lights300_V4 (great mod that changes the lighting)
better_bodies_v2[1].0
heads_pack

There are loads of others that change the icons, gold, signposts, lockpicks, weapons etc.

Of course there are also some great gameplay mods that change things like the stupid economic system and add lots of other features.

Here's a few screens showing some of the new textures.
