Why does OCUK not work on my laptop?

Hi there, weird problem I'm having

My little shuttle PC I have at home works fine on OCUK, great

But my little laptop I have refuses to load OCUK, same problem every night

Upon the page load of OCUK FORUMS I see the blue of Vbulliten, but then am instantly hit with a page error, Firefox too, although this reports it as a page timeout

I've tried knocking the firewall off, clearing all temp history, cookies etc, and can't get to the bottom of this

It's not like the DDoS attacks, as this is only happens on this one laptop

It's very frustrating...

Any ideas?

Reinstall the Internet.

On a more serious note - doesit happen in IE and Firefox? Have you tried a second browser?

But seriously, had this problem before, wouldn't work on my main computer for ages, have you reset your router?

Anything in the hosts file?

Tried changing DNS servers?

Could give these a whirl (OPENDNS)

Will reset the router tonight, hosts file is a mystery to me though, explain

c:/windows>system32>drivers>etc

File called hosts with no extension, open in notepad, what's in there?

Uninstall your security software completely, then retest. Most security software comes with a 'web shield' which is basically antiphishing software - in my experience, this generally doesn't work and can cause major issues.

will try the reinstall, weirdly it's worked on the laptop for about 6 months, then suddenly nothing

A router reset seems to have done the trick, fingers crossed it holds
