Why does the sky go Yellow before a storm ?

Depends a bit - in this case apparently it is because the storm has dragged up some Saharan dust from Africa and smoke from forest fires in Europe along its way.

It needs a peepee. The longer it holds it in, the yellower it turns and the angrier the storm is when it finally lets go.

An "unusual" reddish sky and red-looking sun have been reported across parts of England.

The phenomenon has been seen in the South West, the Midlands, North West and North East.

BBC weather presenter Simon King said it was due to the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia dragging in tropical air and dust from the Sahara.

We had the yellow sky earlier, but it was dark and raining at the same time - certainly the sun wasn't visible. Now it's foggy and extremely dark and the streetlights were on 45 mins ago - I can't say I've ever seen our streetlights on this early in the day.
