Why does this happen....

Every so often, I get:

'atikmdag' has stopped responding

then it says its resolved itself but the screen goes off and on about 5 times, then goes to a BSOD with a memory dump

I cant seem to fix it...
Display adapter is ATI Radeon HD 3650

Yeah iget this too. 3870...do you have vista? I ignore the error. Though it seems the reason for my games crashing randomly sometimes.

I don't play games, I sometimes use Photoshop, or when im watching a movie it will do it a few mins into it...just gets well annoying...

Make sure you're on SP1, then try making sure you're using the latest BIOS for your mobo, and chipset drivers. Then try removing all the ATI drivers, cleaning them off your system and install the latest drivers (8.10 official, Farcry2 Hotfix or 8.11 beta)
