Yup we know that!you cant just look at cpu power consumption, thats only one part of the story, you've got to look at the power consumption of the whole platform.
Haven't had the chance to play with a 780G platform yet, how are you finding it? I'd be curious to know how the AMD Platform performs and how much power it uses compared to say an ASUS/INTEL board using the G43/G45 Express chipset mixed in with the ASUS EPUintel haven't got much here especially with the performance of the 780g graphics.
AMD 4850e runs at stock 1.15volts 45watts so pretty good

Its the ASUS EPU program that accompanies the new p5q motherboards - its an energy saving tool that works with the motherboard to cut down on energy usage by underclocking/turning off hard drives etc. Im not 100% sure, but my guess is it only works with the ASUS motherboards with the 'EPU 6 engine' tech.
