Why don't overclockers sell display port to mini display port?

AS title says i am thinking of buying the Samsung S27A750D 120hz monitor today and i have an HD 6970 card, i have been told i need the cable as in the title but OC don't list them.
I have tried local,Staples,Maplins etc bu they don't sell the right ones. I would think there would be a big call for these leads as thats how ATI owners need to connect to Samsung monitors to get 120hz!
I would have liked to have bought the lead at the same time.

I do not think you need to. Looking at the picture of the monitor it is showing what looks like a full size display port, also *most* AMD cards have a full size display port as well.

What brand of card you got?

Hi i have the XFX HD 6970 2gb not the cheapest of cards it has an HDMI, 2 DVI and 2 Mini display ports. i dont have standard size port on the GPU, other people have had this problem.

Well i have been looking up and to get 120hz the other option is dual dvi to display port i have a dual dvi lead but the connector has to be powered and they are £74.95, so i need a dsplay port to mini display port 1 lead, a mini display port adapter with female display port socket, im gonna have a browse round the net i hope i get the right one, as some people have had monitor problems with some leads. This shouldnt be this hard damn!

At the risk of sounding a bit sharp.
Why go head first on an expensive monitor if you already knew there were cable issues to overcome?
£7 postage isn't awful when you consider time to process an order, pick it, pack it, cost of packing and then cost of postage.

I'm sure you could raise an extra £4 to cover the gap.

Hi i understand what you are saying but i only have that amount on my card also and it wasn't until checkout it said the postage.
Someone on the oc site that bought the monitor was in the same predicamet, i wasn't too clued up on displayport. i wanted an asus monitor but you need an nvidia card.
Also as this is an exspensive monitor and most people that get it will have ATI card you would think they would supply a mini DP to DP lead as someone else mentioned.
Thanks
Guy

Do you have an HDMI cable you could use for now? Then save up for a DP cable to get the 120Hz

Yeah im going to have to use HDMI for now i had to ebay the lead cheaper option but might have to wait, its just that waiting game when you have a nice new piece of hardware:D
