Why has my SNR dropped

I have put in an order to change from fibre to fibre pro which hasn't yet changed over yet (still stuck of 40/10) but my SNR has dropped today from 26db to 18db, does anyone know why that would be it has been 26db since fibre was activated a year ago and has never dropped it has got me worried now because losing 8db of SNR will take a lot off my top end speed.

For information my stats are
Attenuation 18.6db
SNR 18.8db

What does that have to do with anything? The port next to yours could just have been activated.
