please tell me that is some inside joke and that you aren't that foolish not to realise those three red dots are sensors??

When I got the phone they weren't there. I once turned the phone off / on they appeared. They seem to get brighter as the days go by. Really annoying.

A friend has a 3Gs, they also don't seem to be visible.

They've always been there, they're on every single iPhone ever made - some cases even have holes for them. It's the ambient light sensor that controls your phone dimming when it's dark, and the sensor that can tell when the phone's to your ear so it can deactivate the screen when you're on the phone.

If you try and get it replaced they will wet their pants. The cracks is fair enough though and enough for a replacement on its own.

The dots are only 'getting brighter' because you know they're there.

Did you take it to an O2 shop or an Apple store?

I've heard nothing but praises about the customer service from the Apple Store.

I'm ready to take my 3Gs back due to some small cracks appearing around the headphone jack and 3 red coloured dots on the screen. Waiting on a new case arriving before getting a new replacement.

Barely over a month old. Protect it with my life

Your gonna be trying to send a hell of a lot of iPhones back if you think the sensors are faults
