why i won't buy consoles at launch

got burned with the Xbox 360 and PS3. not only did I get the privilege of paying more, but was a guinea pig/beta tester.

not to mention weak games line up

to add salt to the wound, seems some PS4 are already defective. lol. ofc Sony are downplaying it, but they did the same with PS3. maybe 0.4% at the end of the year would be good, but it's only been out for a few days in the US http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-11-14-sony-investigating-reports-of-defective-ps4s

will wait till new improved versions come out w/ bigger selection of games as well as better prices

Your loss ! Getting a console at launch and being part of the buzz is lots of fun. Won't be as much fun, once 10mil are in circulation.

It may well be part of the buzz and fun for you but it's not more fun in general...

More money spent on possible faulty hardware, less games and the list could go on really.

There will always be better versions of it coming out over the years as with the xbox.

I'm waiting at least a year myself.

Firstly, 0.04% != 0.4%

Secondly, do you understand how proportions work? If the overall failure rate is to be 0.04%, then that's the percentage of failures you'd expect to see at any given time. Doesn't matter how long it's been out for, or how many units have been observed.
