Why i'm not installing 64x Vista

I installed 64 bit Ultimate edition today and am extremely pleased with it.

My X1900XT and X-Fi Fatal1ty both work fine and after a bit of messing about I even got my Linksys WMP54GS wireless network card going with the built in Broadcom drivers (although signal strength is currently cack but at least it works).

Most hardware manufacturers should be ready to offer improved drivers on the official launch date wich is only 8 days away but people should have already realised there would be a lack of official support until then.

It's not as if it hasn't been mentioned countless times before on these very forums.

Drivers me nuts

So far Vista has driven me mad. I spent over an hour before I could find a "compatible" 64 bit audio driver for ac97 to work off s/pdif (possibly the cause of some of my woes). The display driver (Nvidia) shuts down the display for no aparent reason then restarts, perhaps exiting it too much by clicking a link in IE killed it? Trying to watch something through MP11 is a total joke, when the display shuts down and you cant get the picture back. IE7 has encountered a problem and needs to close????? Why, I just opened it? 3 BSOD 84 problem reports since 6pm. Why didnt I listen and wait for SP1 before I bought it? Virtually no games will install correctly, I just about managed to get generals working in compatibility mode. Far Cry wont install, so what if theres a 64 bit version if you cant install the thing! Rainbow 6, shocking gave me crc errors, its a new game! Outlook has encountered an error again, just opened it. So, loads of random annoying glitches are my experince. Why am not allowed to save thing to my ext HD? Why must I have to "set policies" which cause a BSOD? Vista hell, glad I am dual booting with XP!

I read that vista x64 will not work with anything written in 16bit!

Now I do not know how many programs nowadays are written in that but if you do have anything in that it will definately be a problem.
