Why is 2 gn preferable to 1 gb with re to gaming?

Most any game released in the last 2-3 years can benefit from 2gb of memory. There's too many to list. Having enough system memory means that you can greatly reduce page file activity which is often the cause of game play stutter.

From COD2 and FEAR, if played at high settings, benefit from 2GB, can stutter without.
