Why is BFBC 2 downlolading on Steam?

Logged in and it's downloading something. is it a gameplay patch? Steam doesn't say anything so i'm curious.

Could you do us a favour and link me to a change log please? can't for the life of me find what they're doing. Are they adding new content or fixing the game or what?

They stripped the DRM out.
