I am joking - It's even worse than BT and that is saying something-

I have to go into wifes account every month to gift data to my phone - The silly sods put 20g of data on her phone and 500mb on mine when I signed up. Guess what -they can't alter it.

Every month I have to swim through the garbage that's on this site and to add insult to injury you have to scan all pages to find the logout.

I feel better now I have had a rant. - It's the only website I feel like throwing something at the screen.

I moved all of our SIM cards from EE to Three because of exactly the nonsense you’re describing. Not only did it save £150/month but everyone now just has unlimited everything and we don’t have to worry about ‘gifting’ data from the primary account any more. I’m not going to lie, EE has better coverage and where both services have good signal, faster upload and download speeds. It is much easier to administer the 30 or so SIMs now though.

Agreed, The mrs is with them and shes always asking me to help whenever she needs to use the site as its so un-user-friendly or just doesnt even load up, or randomly logs you out. Their customer service on the phone is great though.

If you do it via the app it is 2-3 clicks and very straightforward! I also do this every month too

I do not use any apps on phone -sim/banking or any other money type apps - Simple reason is I can't see the screen that well and need the wife to get access to my phone if needed which is reason I have no password to get into phone.
Nothing personal on it at all.

Last year EE finally gave me 10gb on 5G for £10 a month, after a month I found out they had purposely throttled my speed to 30mbps.
They couldn't do anything about it even though I could get an EE card off a wall in a phone shop/Newsagent and get EE 15gb on full 5G for £10.
Unbelievable.
I decided to switch to Smarty (Three) and haven't looked back - 60gb for £10.
Earlier this year my wife went on Smarty 10gb for £5.

EE are truly shocking.

It isn't just EE - more mobile operator websites than not are a mess to wade through, get their knickers in a twist far too often requiring a full wipe of cookies and have an annoying habit of insisting on you logging in if you want to do certain things if they detect any hint of an account (thank goodness for private browsing). Also more generally - it is like the people designing them and/or running the company never actually use their own product.

They pulled something similar on me but luckily I was able to wriggle out of it (within 7 days of the change of contract) but when they couldn’t roll my shared data SIMs back to share automatically I’d had enough.

I do think EE’s actual phone service and coverage are excellent but you pay a lot for it.

Seems all carrier websites are absolutely terrible, I suppose they want to offer deals and people sign up but no updates done to their own systems.... terrible

I‘m guessing I’m in the minority here but I think their website is a doddle to use. Log in. See bill. Save as PDF. Job done. Can see all my allowances and can easily switch between my sim/esim for watch.

The app works fine as well takes seconds to share data.

Here we go again -Just been on to check on data and it said "Opps we have a problem" -Tried wifes account -same thing -It really is a bag of garbage.
By the way I am doing this on PC.

I keep getting the error, "Unfortunately, we couldn't log you in, but you can still buy or upgrade - just choose what you want to do" on website and app.
Looks like many had same problem for years and never been fixed.

^^ I'm with Three on a 1 year sim-only. 25GB and unlimited calls/text for £8/month. When the year is up, I'm thinking of going to Lyca (which uses EE's network) and that's £5/month and 20GB.

My dad's on this and the signal is notably not as clear when I'm on the phone to him as it was in the past. Feels a tad landline quality on calls sometimes
