Why is it always the C:\ drive, not the A:\ drive?

Same here I was always buggering my first pc up, the Intel 486 DX66, but thats how you learnt in those days

Probably the same way a lot of us learned. It's certainly what I was doing on my 386 SX25.

Dir. Ooh, what's this .exe do? Crash PC. Right, won't do that again. What's this one do then? .... oh ... ok

hehe, that sounds about me,, people has it easy nowadays, if things brake you restore or reinstall without pulling out your hair along the way.. But OS are a lot more robust and easier to use then in the 90's, it was all configuration rubbish back then and if you didn't get a configuration exactly right, it would throw its toys out of the pram big time,,,, Ahh the good old dos days.

Lol, we used paper tape to load programs into machines. The dots were good fun to fill peoples shoes/pockets/bait box with.

I've toggled boot code in from the front panel.
