Why is it so cold?????

I remember it being much colder last winter, I'm sure I saw -13/14 last year. Everyone seems to have forgotten about the persistant cold winter we had last year!
 
lowest temp i seen last year was -12, its only been around -2 here through the day and about -5 at night. it just doesnt feel that cold to me
 
Joking aside , all our local radio/tv are saying snow in the next few hours. Sunderland/Newcastle areas brace yourself .....
 
Every year this happens, people seem to wonder why it gets so hot/cold, yet it happens every year.
 
Tad worried about the state of my central heating in my student room as the house feels like its 21C yet my room is a fair bit below that :( Turned my PC on and my gcards where at 21 and 23C idle (watercooled) so its definitely not 21C in my room!

Its been snowing in hull for the last 24 hours or so (not constantly though, very small amount of coating really), but the wind is bitterly cold on a night. Makes walking to uni a royal pain in the rear :(
 
Lolz I sleep with an open window, well a few cm otherwise it get stuffy.
Years of living in Sweden make your skin hard I guess.

teesside here, bet we dont get a thing. there always saying ohhh theres snow on the way when the cold weather comes and we never get any or theres a tiny bit of snow and everyone paps themself's. tbh im not bothered if it does or doesnt :)

All the smog evaporates it before landing :D
 
-9 in Bristol yesterday morning, been below zero in the morning for a few days running but has climbed above zero during the day.

Cold weather to me is when the temperature drops below zero & stays there for days on end. The year before last was pretty cold, frosts which didn't lift during the day etc.

Nice to see the days are getting longer, seeing lots of birds out feeding & preparing for warmer weather.

Roll on spring!!
