so much easier to drink than Vodka, and tastes much better too

I can't start a night with Vodka + mixer and I end up filling ill drinking it, but JD is no problem even though it's the same % as Vodka...
And drinking JD shots is much easier than Vodka shots

It has to be the best alcoholic drink on the planet ... discuss

When I was younger (ie 18) I didn't really like whisky and handled Vodka much better, but now for some reason whisky is easier thing for me (dunno if that's due to age, or different healthy diet, or what)
 
I find it the other way around. Although its the same with any whiskey. Had an incident when I was 15 with some mates and whiskey and the smell makes me nautious now. I think everyone who has been on a few benders has that one drink they can no longer drink. Also malibu but thats because coconut takes like pig nipples (or what id imagine they would taste like) to me.

Beers>spirits although a massive pitcher of something illuminous wins all the time.

See, I like beer as a casual drink ... but if I drink nothing but beer all night I start to do crazy stuff, like jump out of windows, blank out etc far more despite having the same amount of alcohol content as I would drinking Vodka or Whisky

Its the quantity of beer for me. I can make a pint last ages when im out through chatting etc so I never end up that drunk. Spirits just seem to dissapear and then.... well I forget what happens after that....

Or if you want a bit more content, it's pretty bland and inoffensive as far as bourbons go - it doesn't do anything particularly wrong and doesn't do anything particularly right, it's just tastes the same any time and is available pretty much everywhere. If that's what you want from a drink then sure, it does the job.

I'll admit I'm not the greatest bourbon fan anyway although I do like Bulleit Bourbon or Maker's Mark on occasion, however if I was going for a whisk(e)y then it simply has to be Scottish. Jura, Ardbeg or Talisker are all much preferable.
 
vodka and coke beats jd and coke..... for pure cheapness and drinking for the sake of it, - i can drink a double and coke of vodka without noticing the vodka, but JD is just too strong(in flavour)..... for taste however southern comfort, or ameretto and coke... but i await for some drink buff to come in and tell me i have no taste in drinks, which is true but im a cheap hooker

Oh no doubt some of the rarer Scotch is nicer, but sometimes you are just not in the mood for it ... while with JD I find that I can drink it whenever

Many clubs now tend to have JD & coke be only about 50p more than Vodka + mixer for either a single or a double, at least round here
